Lilian (Lily) Wake

Lily Wake, MA, Accredited Play Therapist – Clinical Supervisor (Trainee) Registered Member: PTUK / PTI I am a qualified and accredited Play Therapist (PTUK), with a Postgraduate Diploma and Master’s Degree (MA) in Practice-Based Play Therapy through Leeds Beckett University, trained via APAC. I have over 30 years’ experience supporting children and families across therapeutic, educational, and community settings. I am also a registered Clinical Supervisor (trainee), currently completing the APAC Post-Qualifying Certificate in Creative Supervision. My play therapy practice is grounded in child-centred principles and enriched by integrative models including TraumaPlay®, AutPlay® (for neurodivergent children), and creative, sensory, and somatic approaches. I offer a warm, relational, and playful space where children can explore big feelings, build emotional resilience, and process early life experiences. I work with adopted and fostered children (often through Adoption Support Fund packages), as well as those navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, school-based distress, or social and relational difficulties. I welcome private referrals and am committed to keeping therapy accessible and compassionate. In addition to direct work with children, I offer clinical supervision to play therapists and professionals working with children, including teachers, support staff, and social workers. My supervision style is creative, supportive, and grounded in ethical and reflective practice. Sessions take place in a dedicated therapy space in a converted school building in Somerset, with access to both indoor and outdoor play opportunities. I also offer inset training and reflective groups for schools, helping staff develop playful, trauma-informed approaches to relational care
