I am an Integrative Counsellor, Adoption and Family Support OFSTED registered Therapist, Attachment Focused Therapist and accredited Play Therapist, Filial Play Coach and a Clinical Supervisor Trainee. I work in a wide variety of settings both face-to-face and on-line.I am client centred, sensitively and empathically supporting children, adults and families, covering a range of issues including; early life trauma, bereavement, suicidal ideation, self-harm, anxiety, domestic violence, parental separation, identity issues, adoption, SEN/neurodivergent issues. I have a private practise and I am also employed as the Wellbeing Lead, PT and FPC in a school. I understand safeguarding issues and I keep up-to-date using holistic creative therapeutic approaches, regularly attending CPD trainings. I offer: • Play therapy to help children and young people based on the core belief they can resolve them themselves. Play and art are their natural medium of self-expression so they are offered creative ways to work out issues.This works when ‘talking therapies’ don’t. It is usually non-directive but a directive approach can be offered. • Filial Play Coaching as a short-term mentored support system to help parents develop a positive, more connected trusting relationship with their child. • Clinical Play and Creative Arts Supervision to therapists, as the supervisory space parallels the therapy space enabling the therapist to express and explore using the language of the client. It enhances the learning, insight, and self-reflection of the therapist, as it moves beyond traditional verbal feedback by incorporating play and creative arts to explore unconscious processes and the somatic felt sense, which deepens understanding, and foster professional and personal growth.
