Hello, I am Janette Dignan, an Accredited Play & Creative Arts Therapist. I operate as a Freelance Play Therapist, offering individual therapeutic support and consultation to support the emotional health and wellbeing of children and families. I have a wealth of experience working in a variety of settings, including statutory, voluntary, educational, and youth settings. I have experience in supporting children and families who have experienced complex early life experiences and developmental trauma. I am a PTUK Approved Supervisor, meeting the key CPD requirements to supervise trainees and qualified Play Therapists. I am passionate about continued learning and self-development, embracing the notion to ‘think outside the box’ to support deeper learning and self-reflection. My dedication to continuous learning and professional growth is evidenced by my recent completion of the Certificate in Integrative Creative Supervision. This certification has equipped me with advanced skills to integrate creative supervision techniques into my practice, enhancing my ability to provide comprehensive support to both trainees and qualified Play Therapists. I have completed a Certificate in Synergetic Play Therapy, a therapeutic approach that combines the principles of play therapy with the latest research in neuroscience and interpersonal neurobiology. This approach helps children process and integrate their experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
