Gerakan Indonesia Bermain (GIB), a movement pioneered by PTI Indonesia since 2016, marked Indonesia Children’s Day on 23 July 2026 with activities across 41 schools.
The 2026 update reports 15,493 participants: 13,133 children, 657 children with special needs, 851 teachers, 820 parents and 32 volunteers.
The movement brings schools, families and volunteers together around children’s right to play, while preserving Indonesian traditional games. Activities create opportunities for children to cooperate, communicate, take turns, solve problems and experience differences.
Teachers, parents and volunteers accounted for 1,703 participants, helping the value of play continue in classrooms, homes, playgrounds and communities beyond the event.
