Caroline Bingley

I started my training as a Play Therapist in 2005 and have worked across a number of different CAMHS teams in the NHS. I have since trained as a Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology and am employed as a Mental Health Clinician. I have worked in Scotland since 2008 as a Play Therapist and Applied Psychologist in CAMHS. I work in a highly specialist CAMHS Team for Care Experienced Young People and have extensive experience in working with Young People experiencing mental health difficulties linked to complex developmental trauma. My Play Therapy work is carried out as part of my wider work in this service. I have been supervising other clinicians in the service for a number of years and more recently have been training as a creative arts supervisor with PTUK. I have been able to bring creative group supervision into the CAMHS service and develop skills in creative arts therapy in multi-disciplinary teams. I completed an MA in Play Therapy in 2022 and am hoping to publish this work on developing an assessment matrix using play therapy for children & young people who have experienced developmental trauma. My play therapy work is currently only within the NHS. I am not currently doing private work with young people. I have spaces for supervision and can offer this across agencies and settings. Please get in touch if you would like to meet for a free initial chat.
