The PTUK and PTI Boards are committed to ensuring that every member feels heard and acknowledged as an individual at all times whether that be during their Play Therapy training or once qualified as a Play Therapist.
As a result of recent events, we have reviewed and challenged the internal structures and the way in which we work to ensure that as an organisation we are robust in our approach to promoting anti-racist practice, equality and diversity – please see our policies pages on the top menu under About >> Policies.
As a result, we are and will continue:
- To provide access to training for all and to positively encourage applicants from ethnic minorities
- To work with our partners to ensure our policies align, reflecting our commitment to not only non-discriminatory, anti-racist practice but all other aspects of life
- To raise therapists’ awareness of resources which promote diversity within the therapeutic tool kit
- To increase communication between Registrants and the PTUK and PTI Boards
