PACT, a voluntary adoption agency, has been at the forefront of adoption services for over 60 years. With our outstanding rating with Ofsted we work with a high degree of flexibility and innovation and work with a range of adopters from all backgrounds, including those from black and minority ethnic heritage and the LGBT community.

Our Family and Children Therapeutic Support (FACTS) service provides therapeutic and clinical assessment and therapeutic support services tailored to meet the needs of individual children, young adults and families.

We are looking for self-employed therapists and clinical psychologists from across the south east (particularly Berkshire, Hampshire, London, Buckinghamshire, Brighton and Oxford) to work with looked after children and their families.

In particular we are looking for: play, art, drama, music and movement therapists; family therapists; child and adolescent psychotherapists; occupational therapists including sensory integration, and clinical and educational psychologists. We value therapeutic training including DDP, Theraplay, therapeutic lifestory and filial coaching.

It is essential that you have experience in working with trauma, loss and attachment. Experience of working with looked after children is desirable.   Referrals will include assessing the therapeutic needs of children and families and undertaking therapeutic intervention. Applicants should be on a register accredited by the professional standards authority.

Pay is on an hourly rate depending on experience and travel expenses are also paid.  Caseloads are flexible and can be arranged to fit around other commitments.
